This project investigated the effect of powder source (supplier and manufacturing process) on quality attributes of powder bed fusion (laser and electron beam) AM components. It also evaluated the repeatability and reproducibility of powder quality assurance testing (sampling technique, lab repeatability, operator repeatability).
A follow-on Phase 2 project was also carried out on this topic.
