Verification & validation

As AM part geometry becomes increasingly more complex as does the challenge to measure, inspect and test components to ensure they meet their required standard. To meet these demands the NCAM is working closely with industry, academia, and standards bodies to develop a deep understanding in each of these area. Our research also extends into in-process monitoring of AM builds to support the validation of parts. Destructive testing, such as routine mechanical testing, is carried out offsite by a series of accredited suppliers.
