Summary

This project looked at how to model and validate AM lattice structures. It focussed on the design stage and also looked at testing of lattice structures to obtain mechanical property data. There were three deliverables:

• A literature review of current state of lattice structure design, application, modelling, simulation, software availability, and manufacturability.
• A practical software assessment covering nine lattice generation software packages, evaluating their usefulness for design of lattice structures.
• A mechanical testing methodology and corresponding data for lattice structures.
