This project aimed at benchmarking the electron beam powder bed fusion additive manufacturing process. The focus was on comparing three different platform: A2XX, Q10 and Q20 by manufacturing benchmark components of different sizes features, build direction / orientation, wall thickness and as well as assessing the in-situ process imaging (LayerQam) resolution.
Using this information, it was possible to better understand product requirements and the processing window which could be used for further parameter optimisation if required.
