After a year of seismic shocks to the engineering sector, the IMechE and Professional Engineering are launching a series of bite-size briefings held across a week. The Engineering Futures series will help you understand the new forces shaping engineering, enabling you to be more resilient both now and in the future.
You’ll hear from big thinkers, practitioners and subject-matter experts who’ll provide briefings on the key technological, socio-economic and sector changes that are shaping careers in this fantastic industry.
On 20th July, Ruaridh Mitchinson from the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing at the MTC will give a detailed overview of the art of the possible in 3D Printing, today and in the future. Running through current applications of technology, what the state of the art in AM is and highlighting clear areas of opportunity. Finally, Ruaridh will detail ways for companies to begin their AM journey.
Ruaridh is the product development manager for the Additive Manufacturing team at the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM), based at the MTC.
