This project aimed to understand how to make X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) more rate-scalable and affordable for production use. Simultaneous inspection relates to the use of CT datasets for both integrity (e.g. void detection) and dimensional measurement inspections. Such a usage pattern has the potential to save both time and money in production, whilst overcoming some challenges faced by conventional metrology, as X-ray CT inspection is not reliant on accessibility of features or surface finish.
